Job summary

Jackson McDonald is seeking a front-end construction lawyer with a minimum of four years’ post-admission experience to join Western Australia’s leading construction team. You will draft and negotiate construction contracts, advise on procurement strategies and grow your contentious construction experience, including disputes and adjudications.

You will work with a highly regarded Partner, gaining exposure to complex matters while developing your profile in WA’s construction market.

Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years post-admission experience with a strong commercial law background.
Proven experience in front-end construction law, including drafting and negotiating construction contracts.
Some experience in contentious construction matters, including disputes and/or adjudications.
Excellent legal knowledge, technical ability and attention to detail.
Strong commercial acumen and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

Draft and negotiate construction contracts for projects across WA.
Advise on procurement strategies and provide commercially focused advice to clients.
Develop and expand contentious construction experience, including disputes and adjudications.
Build robust client relationships and contribute to business development.
