Ashurst Perkins Coie is seeking a Conflicts & Ethics Senior Advisor to join the Risk & Compliance team in Melbourne. You will lead assessments related to new business and ongoing operations, with emphasis on conflicts of interest, AML/CTF, and global compliance in a law firm environment.

The role requires strong judgment, negotiation skills, discreet handling of confidential information, and the ability to work across international teams.

Formación

• Significant professional services experience within a law firm, particularly in conflicts and risk.
• AU or overseas legal qualification (or LPC).
• Ability to demonstrate good judgment and business awareness; articulate arguments to the partnership and senior management; strong negotiation skills.
• Keen interest in knowing the business and lateral/analytical thinking; exposure to firm-wide legal practices will involve exposure to various high profile deals.
• Discreet and professional due to confidential and sensitive information.
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to liaise effectively across the firm and offices.
• Good team spirit; lead by example and assist others when necessary.
• Commitment to supporting the team as a global function and strengthening connections globally.
• Ability to use own judgment and know when issues should be escalated.
• Flexible and able to adapt to new situations, processes and technology.

Responsabilidades

• Work with the wider Risk & Compliance management team to ensure comprehensive conflict and other assessments for new and existing business.
• Ensure obligations in relation to conflicts of interest, AML/CTF, and compliance issues worldwide are met.
• Play a pivotal role within the firm's global Risk & Compliance team to align work with the global strategy and escalate as needed.
