Job summary

Westpac is seeking a Senior Manager, UNITE Compliance to provide independent compliance advice across the UNITE transformation program. Based in Sydney with hybrid work, you will partner with program, risk, legal and control teams to understand regulatory obligations and how proposed changes affect customers and frontline teams.

You will review transformation plans, assess incidents, advise on remediation, and elevate concerns when risks are not managed.

Qualifications

• Experience providing compliance, risk, legal or controls advice within financial services.
• Understanding of regulatory obligations and compliance risks with transformation, technology, data and process change.
• Ability to review complex information, identify control weaknesses and propose practical responses.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with ability to influence decisions and elevate concerns.
• Clear written communication skills to operate through change and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent compliance advice across Westpac’s UNITE transformation program.
• Collaborate with program, business, risk, legal and control teams to assess regulatory impact.
• Review transformation plans, customer migration activity, controls and implementation readiness.
• Identify compliance risks and advise on remediation; elevate concerns when risks aren’t managed.
• Contribute insights to governance forums and support regulatory engagement.
