Job summary

Compas Pty Ltd is seeking an APS6 Senior Compliance & Investigations Officer to lead complex reviews and investigations in a major Australian Government regulatory environment, applying risk-based analysis to financial information and identifying non-compliance for high-quality regulatory outcomes. The role is based in Canberra or Melbourne with flexible working arrangements.

Baseline security clearance is required, and candidates must hold current Baseline clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting or leading financial audits, assurance or comparable compliance activities.
• Strong analytical capability to interpret complex information and identify issues or risks.
• Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgement and deliver quality outcomes under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk-based investigations and complex compliance reviews.
• Analyse financial, data and intelligence sources to identify risks and non-compliance.
• Prepare high-quality briefs, reports, correspondence and advice for decision-makers.
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff while contributing to policy and process improvement.
