Vertical Scope Group seeks an APS6 Senior Compliance & Investigations Officer to work across Compliance or Investigations streams, delivering high-quality regulatory analysis and advice in a complex legislative environment.

Under limited direction, you will lead investigations, review disclosures, and contribute to policy development, with autonomy and accountability and the ability to mentor junior staff.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in financial audits, assurance activities or investigations.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex information and identify risks.
• Ability to operate within legislative, regulatory or procedural frameworks.
• Excellent written communication for briefs, reports and recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to build cross-functional relationships.

• Conduct risk-based investigations into potential non-compliance.
• Use data and intelligence tools to identify high-risk behaviours and inform compliance strategies.
• Independently review financial disclosures for accuracy and compliance.
• Assess election funding claims and related compliance matters.
• Analyse information from diverse sources to identify non-compliance risks.
• Oversee processing and payment of election funding.
• Prepare technical briefs, reports and recommendations for decision-makers.
• Contribute to regulatory policy development and approaches.
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver defensible outcomes.
