Job summary

Based in Nerang, QLD, this 6-month contract offers site and office-based work with flexible arrangements.

Qualifications

• Delivered community engagement and stakeholder relations in a complex public-facing environment.
• Managed media, public affairs or issues management activities.
• Advised senior leaders on sensitive communication and stakeholder issues.
• Led or coached communications, engagement or stakeholder staff.
• Managed difficult stakeholders and critical conversations professionally.
• Holds a current Class C driver's licence and has own vehicle for required site travel.
• Australian citizenship obtained.

Responsibilities

• Deliver community engagement, community relations and correspondence activities.
• Manage relationships with community, industry, business and government stakeholders.
• Identify emerging communication issues, trends and risks.
• Develop proactive issues management and external engagement responses.
• Provide high-level media, engagement and strategic communication advice.
• Lead and coach a small communications and stakeholder team.
• Produce clear, consistent and high-quality public information and collateral.
• Build strong relationships with project teams and external stakeholders.
• Stay across major works and project activity to anticipate communication risks.
