Job summary

Aequalis Consulting Pty is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function across a major portfolio of water, energy, and network infrastructure programs. You’ll tailor contract strategies, oversee risk and procurement, and drive value for delivery teams and clients.

You’ll partner with finance, legal, and senior leadership to prepare forecasts, negotiate terms, and report on performance across multiple utilities projects, supporting growth and public outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong background in contract and commercial management within utilities or infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of head contract frameworks and subcontractor engagement.
• Confident communicator with experience managing commercial performance across large programs.
• Financial literacy and experience producing forecasts and risk reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead all commercial and contract management activities across multiple utilities projects.
• Oversee contract compliance, risk management, procurement, and cost forecasting.
• Review and negotiate head contract and subcontractor terms.
• Prepare and present commercial reports to senior leadership and clients.
• Build trusted working relationships with delivery teams, finance, and legal stakeholders.
• Mentor and support junior commercial staff and site-based teams.
