Job summary

BHP seeks a site-based Principal Commercial for WAIO Major Projects, based in the Pilbara on a FIFO roster. You will support Owner's commercial functions for a multi-billion-dollar project, govern contracts and drive commercial outcomes with a six-person team.

Reporting to the Lead Project Commercial, you will coordinate with Perth and site teams, manage procurement strategies, and ensure governance and performance across packages. This is a 12-month contract engaging via an agency.

Qualifications

Extensive experience on site in major/mega projects.
Experience in commercial teams on multi-billion-dollar projects.
Strong knowledge of contract terms and conditions and their application.
Ability to work autonomously while informing leadership.
Experience with EPC, Owner Self Manager, EPCM models.

Responsibilities

Provide commercial support and governance for a multi-billion-dollar capital project.
Lead contract management, change management, and dispute resolution on key packages.
Oversee procurement, contracting and commercial strategies.
Manage interfaces between project packages and performance metrics.
Drive value improvement, risk management and cost optimisation initiatives.
