Job summary

AGL Energy in Melbourne seeks a Senior Manager Commercial & Data to lead the Commercial & Data Enabling Function within the Electrification & Innovation team. You will drive commercial modelling, financial analysis and data insights to shape investment and product decisions across the portfolio.

You will partner with value stream leads, product teams, finance and strategy to articulate enterprise value, govern opex/capex, and mentor a high-performing team in a fast-paced energy transition.

Qualifications

• Experience in Commercial, Strategy, Financial Modelling or related field.
• Experience hiring and developing leaders.
• Strong commercial acumen and partnerships with third parties and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Set the direction, standards, and accountability for commercial modelling and business case work across the Electrification & Innovation team.
• Challenge and quality‑assure analytic outputs to create clear and concise recommendations for senior leaders and product teams to act on.
• Build trusted relationships with value stream leads, product leads, finance, strategy, corporate development, and technology teams.
• Define, quantify and gain agreement on the value that electrification products create.
• Act as the custodian of Electrification & Innovation team's Opex and Capex, oversee governance and prioritisation cadence.
• Attract, lead, and develop a high performing team, fostering a collaborative, curious and innovative culture.
