About the role

The Data Analytics & Commercial Insights Lead is responsible for delivering market intelligence, commercial insights, forecasting and portfolio valuation analysis that supports strategic, operational and investment decision‑making across the Energy Markets & Development portfolio.

The role provides leadership in forecasting methodologies, analytical standards and data‑driven decision‑making, ensuring stakeholders have access to trusted insights that optimise portfolio value, manage risk and support long‑term growth.

Working closely with Finance, Trading, Commercial and Strategy teams, the role will lead the continuous improvement of forecasting, valuation and analytical models across electricity, gas and environmental products, translating complex market and modelling outputs into actionable insights that drive value creation, risk management and portfolio optimisation. In addition, the role will support the uplift of electricity market knowledge and commercial capability across the broader Energy Markets & Development function, strengthening knowledge
