Job summary
Bapcor Limited, Australia's leading automotive aftermarket group, is seeking a commercially minded analyst to become the key finance partner for Autobarn. You will work with over 100 locations and help drive commercial outcomes by turning numbers into actionable insights.
You will partner with senior stakeholders, influence budgeting and forecasting, and support strategic business initiatives across a $320M business unit.
Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience in commercial finance, financial analysis, management reporting or business partnering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.
- Ability to translate data into meaningful commercial insights and recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Curious mindset with a desire to understand the "why" behind the numbers.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence with large datasets.
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Business, Economics or a related discipline.
- CA/CPA qualified, studying or willing to study.
Responsibilities
- Partner with operational leaders across the Autobarn network.
- Deliver meaningful commercial insights and recommendations.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and planning processes.
- Perform financial modelling and scenario analysis.
- Lead monthly performance reviews and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue, margin and profitability.
- Develop dashboards, reporting tools and process improvements.
- Support month-end activities, balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
- Analyse working capital, inventory performance and business trends.
- Drive accountability through performance reporting and commercial challenge.

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, you'll act as the primary finance partner for the Autobarn business.
You'll work closely with operational leaders to understand performance drivers, identify risks and opportunities, challenge assumptions and provide insights that influence business decisions.
Success in this role comes from building strong stakeholder relationships, asking the right questions and translating complex financial information into practical commercial recommendations.

About You
You're naturally curious and enjoy digging beneath the numbers to understand what's really driving business performance.
You don't just produce reports, you use data to tell a story, uncover opportunities and influence better business decisions. You're comfortable building relationships across the business, challenging assumptions and translating complex information into practical insights.
You'll bring:
- 3+ years' experience in commercial finance, financial analysis, management reporting or business partnering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting
- The ability to translate data into meaningful commercial insights and recommendations
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- A curious mindset with a desire to understand the "why" behind the numbers
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
