Job summary

Quartex Software is seeking a Senior CloudOps Engineer to lead design, deployment and governance of scalable AWS infrastructure. You’ll set patterns for delivery teams, mentor engineers and collaborate with Architecture, DevOps and SecOps to support product growth and compliance.

You’ll drive high availability, SLOs and FinOps, while solving complex infrastructure challenges and maintaining strong governance across the cloud platform.

Qualifications

• Hands-on in CloudOps/DevOps with AWS focus and Azure exposure.
• Experience designing multi-account AWS environments with logging/identity.
• Proficient in ECS/Fargate and Aurora/RDS PostgreSQL.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Strong ability to define SLOs, test DR/backup and handle major incidents.
• Proven mentoring capability and cost-optimisation focus.
• A professional AWS certification or audit evidence experience (SOC 2/ISO 27001) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and run a multi-account AWS environment with networking and guardrails.
• Set IaC standards and review designs for others.
• Own platform reliability with HA/DR and monitoring; manage SLOs.
• Escalate on major incidents and coordinate security controls with SecOps/GRC.
• Drive FinOps, evaluate AWS services, mentor CloudOps Engineers.
