Job summary

ASX is hiring a Principal Cloud Engineer for the Risk Platform. You will guide engineering practices, oversee cloud solutions, and drive best-practice delivery to improve stability and monitoring.

You’ll mentor the team and partner with Architectural teams to realise cloud strategy across multi-cloud environments. In this role, you’ll support cross-functional teams, contribute to governance, and ensure solutions meet both technical and business requirements within the Markets technology domain.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex programs in an agile environment.
• Lead end-to-end cloud implementations across multi-cloud setups.
• Proven Senior Cloud Engineering background in public, private and hybrid clouds.
• Strong understanding of cloud engineering principles with GCP/AWS/VMware expertise.
• Experience with multi-cloud, security considerations, and IaaS/PaaS/SaaS concepts.
• Knowledge of enterprise networking, cloud-native solutions, and automation.
• Terraform experience; scripting in Shell, Python or Perl; design governance.
• Experience with containerized services and microservices architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver cloud solutions within Markets technology.
• Collaborate with Architecture to realise cloud strategy and vision.
• Ensure engineering standards and reporting for compliance.
• Lead technical documentation through the Solution Engineering Guild.
• Provide expertise in microservices, CD/DevSecOps, multi-cloud and data engineering.
• Work with cross-functional teams to plan, design, and implement features.
• Review work with stakeholders to ensure functional and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to validate solutions.
