Job summary

Ampersand in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join a growing MSP. This hands-on role focuses on supporting customer cloud and infrastructure environments, resolving escalations and improving reliability across managed services.

You will work across Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments, lead major incidents, mentor engineers and help drive automation, monitoring and security best practices within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• MSP environment experience is essential.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS.
• Strong background in infrastructure, cloud operations and L3 troubleshooting.
• Experience managing major incidents and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, networking, identity and backup/disaster recovery.
• Automation and scripting experience (PowerShell, Terraform or similar).
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide L3 support and resolve complex cloud and infrastructure issues.

• Identify recurring issues and implement permanent solutions.

We're working with a growing managed services business in Brisbane that's looking to add an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to its team.

This is a hands-on technical role, focused on supporting customer cloud and infrastructure environments, managing complex escalations and improving the reliability and performance of managed services.

The Role

You'll act as a senior technical escalation point within the engineering team, working across a range of customer environments.

The role will involve:

• Providing L3 support and resolving complex cloud and infrastructure issues.
• Supporting and troubleshooting Azure, AWS and hybrid environments.
• Managing critical incidents, including P1/P2 escalations and root cause analysis.
• Identifying recurring issues and implementing permanent solutions.
• Reviewing infrastructure, security and operational performance.
• Improving automation, monitoring, documentation and overall service delivery.
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to other engineers.
• Working directly with customers to manage technical issues and escalations.

About You

We're interested in speaking with engineers who have:

• Strong experience within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.
• Solid hands-on experience across Azure and/or AWS.
• A strong background in infrastructure, cloud operations and L3 troubleshooting.
