Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to join our Canberra team. You will work across cloud engineering, infrastructure automation and application support, coordinating with development, operations and stakeholders to ensure reliability and performance of systems.

You’ll contribute to complex technical design, automate processes, and mentor engineers while collaborating directly with the client onsite to address requirements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated practical experience implementing cloud solutions.
• Hands-on Azure PROTECTED cloud environment experience.
• Experience with Elasticsearch and Java applications in Linux environments.
• Experience writing and maintaining automation/scripting (PowerShell).
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code with Ansible and ARM.
• Ability to work full-time on-site from Canberra with NV1 clearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cloud development and engineering activities in partnership with stakeholders.
• Build, maintain and improve infrastructure as code across systems.
• Create and maintain automated deployments and self-service capabilities.
• Support and troubleshoot Java applications operating in Linux environments.
• Build and support services and technologies including Microsoft Azure.
• Monitor cloud services health and utilisation using cloud-native tools.
• Contribute to performance tuning and operational improvements.
• Participate in complex technical design and provide input.
• Take ownership of technologies within area of specialization.
• Investigate complex issues and coordinate with Technical Lead or third parties.
• Produce reports and maintain project documentation.
• Mentor and coach engineers to share knowledge and best practices.
