Job summary

Hunter New England Local Health District is seeking a Clinical Lead – Senior Clinical Psychologist to influence the future of mental health care across the New England North West. The role combines advanced clinical practice with leadership, strengthening service capability and guiding continuous improvement.

You will work with Community Managers and senior leaders to drive high-quality care, supervise clinicians and promote evidence-based approaches across the region.

Qualifications

• Advanced clinical expertise across complex presentations
• Clinical leadership and mentoring skills
• Commitment to evidence-based, person-centred care

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced specialist clinical care and expertise across the region
• Act as a trusted escalation point for complex clinical and operational matters
• Mentor and support clinicians to build capability, confidence and wellbeing
• Promote evidence-based, person-centred approaches that improve outcomes
• Provide clinical leadership and contribute to psychology discipline development
• Influence service development and continuous improvement initiatives

Education

Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate clinical psychology qualification (no less than 2 years full time)
