Job summary

Greenpeace Australia Pacific (GPAP) is seeking a Senior Campaigner to devise, coordinate, and deliver priority climate and energy campaigns aligned with GPAP’s strategic plan.

You will be at the forefront of tackling major environmental issues, including stopping the expansion of gas extraction and exports, advocating for ambitious emissions policies, addressing extreme weather events, and holding fossil fuel industries accountable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in campaigning or strategic advocacy.
• Proven track record of designing and deploying successful campaigns.
• Experience managing people (contractors, staff, or volunteers).
• Experience in media engagement and public speaking.
• Understanding of political and corporate power dynamics in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation and rollout of climate campaign strategies.
• Mobilise project teams and build coalitions with partners.
• Serve as Greenpeace spokesperson to media and policy makers.
• Develop campaign content (reports, releases, videos, emails).
• Utilise research and analysis to identify leverage points and adapt strategies.
• Manage campaign budgets and coordinate volunteers.
