Job summary

Janus Henderson Investors is seeking a senior client-focused portfolio investment leader to grow equity strategies through proactive client engagement and collaboration with sales and product teams.

You will drive the commercial success of products, align investment strategies with client guidelines, and lead RFP reviews for major opportunities while representing the firm at conferences and industry panels.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance, business, economics or equivalent required.
• 10+ years equity or fixed income investment experience in client-facing roles.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant sector/product/instruments.
• Strong knowledge of macro and market trends to articulate strategy.
• Ability to interpret data related to portfolio attribution, contribution and risk measures.
• Strong commercial instincts and executive presence for internal/external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to write and report for diverse audiences; influence across teams.
• Track record of partnering with sales, product, PM, marketing and leadership to drive outcomes.
• Agility to adapt in changing environments and propose innovative client solutions.
• Team-oriented with collaboration across functions; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Grow Janus Henderson’s equity strategies through proactive client engagement.
• Drive commercial success of products through business plan ownership and execution.
• Collaborate with CPM leadership to set long-term goals and targets.
• Advocate for Portfolio Managers and articulate team philosophy and performance.
• Participate in investment discussions with PMs and analysts.
• Ensure investment strategy aligns with client expectations across markets.
• Support distribution strategy for new business and asset retention; lead RFP reviews.
• Contribute to product messaging and marketing collateral.
• Represent the firm at client conferences and industry panels.
• Engage with product development on future strategy and competitive positioning.
• Assist in client prospecting across geographies and channels.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
