Job summary

Marsh is seeking a Claims Specialist for the Financial Lines team. You will manage claims across D&O, PI and related lines, supporting clients through the process and advising on coverage. You will work with SME to large clients, brokers, insurers and internal teams to achieve positive outcomes.

The role emphasizes client advocacy, detailed processing, and collaboration across stakeholders within a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage Financial Lines claims with client advocacy and quality service.

• Respond to client and broker queries, liaise with insurers and claimants.
• Manage moderate to complex claims per processes and SLAs.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Financial Lines team at Marsh. We are flexible regarding the location of this role. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

In this role, you will manage claims across Directors’ & Officers’ (D&O), Professional Indemnity and other Financial Lines classes of business, supporting clients through the claims process and helping to determine coverage.

You will work with a portfolio of SME to large corporate and ASX-listed clients, providing trusted advice, practical support and a high standard of client service. You will also work closely with brokers, insurers and internal stakeholders to help deliver positive claims outcomes.

We will count on you to:

• Manage Financial Lines claims with a focus on client advocacy and quality service

• Support clients from initial notification through to settlement, providing clear advice and helping protect their interests throughout the claims process

• Provide guidance on policy coverage and interpretation, including supporting clients where indemnity is declined

• Respond to client and broker queries and liaise with insurers, claimants and external service providers

• Manage moderate to complex claims in line with company processes and Client Service Agreements

• Identify matters for referral and work with the Advocacy team on claims-related issues

What you need to have:

• Experience in insurance claims, ideally within Financial Lines

• Clear written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, insurers and other stakeholders

• Experience managing claims with attention to process, detail and client outcomes

What makes you stand out:

• Experience advising on policy coverage and claims strategy within Financial Lines

• Legal or insurance qualifications, such as a Law degree or ANZIIF, while not essential

• Ability to work collaboratively while also managing work independently
