Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Civil Structures Technical Director to lead the Queensland Civil Structures team and deliver high-quality solutions for major infrastructure projects. You will mentor engineers, drive technical leadership across road, rail, ports and energy sectors, and build strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified civil structures engineer with ability to lead people and projects.
• Extensive experience delivering large scale, complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in civil structures (bridges, tunnels, retaining walls).
• Proven leadership, influencing, and delegation skills.
• Knowledge of transport department and state requirements is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to the Queensland Civil Structures team and mentor team members.
• Lead technical roles on complex infrastructure projects across road, rail, ports and energy sectors; manage technical risk and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Develop and maintain relationships with public and private sector clients to strengthen pursuits and sales.
• Identify opportunities and areas for team growth using industry knowledge and contacts.
• Collaborate with Civil Structures teams regionally and across Arcadis offices to support sales, bidding and project delivery.
