Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Civil Structures Technical Director to lead our Queensland Civil Structures team and deliver high‑caliber infrastructure work. You will mentor engineers, manage complex projects across roads, rail, ports and energy, and build strong client relationships to drive pursuits.

A deep technical background and strategic leadership are essential. You will influence across the organization, collaborate with other Arcadis offices, and help shape local and national civil

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified civil structures engineer with proven leadership abilities.
• Over 15 years of experience in engineering design consultancies.
• Extensive experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in bridges, cut-and-cover tunnels, and retaining walls.
• Knowledge of Department of Transport and Main Roads requirements; state requirements a bonus.
• Active industry presence with relationships to contractors and government clients.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to the Queensland Civil Structures team and mentor staff.
• Hold technical leadership roles on complex infrastructure projects across road, rail, ports and energy sectors.
• Develop and maintain client relationships to support pursuits and sales.
• Identify opportunities and areas for team growth through industry networks.
• Assist in developing local and national Civil Structures strategy.
• Collaborate with regional teams to support sales, bidding, and project delivery.
