Job summary

McMahon Services is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join the Civil & Infrastructure team, delivering critical civil works near Whyalla, SA. You will work with the Project Manager to provide technical leadership, manage procurement, contract admin, scheduling and cost control on Defence-related infrastructure projects.

This permanent full-time role operates on a Drive-In Drive-Out roster, with accommodation and work-away allowances provided.

Qualifications

Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
Experience leading project teams and mentoring engineers.
Proven ability to manage procurement, contracts and project planning.

Responsibilities

Lead and support engineering and site teams throughout project delivery.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and project stakeholders.
Manage procurement, contract administration, project scheduling and cost control.
Monitor project budgets, forecasting, progress claims and variations.
Champion a strong safety culture and ensure quality and compliance standards are maintained.
Build relationships with clients, subcontractors and consultants.
Mentor Project Engineers and site personnel.
Prepare and review technical documentation, RFIs and project reporting.
Identify project risks and opportunities while supporting successful project delivery.
