Job summary

AECOM is seeking a senior civil infrastructure professional to lead utilities planning and design delivery on major projects in Australia. You will manage quality, budget and schedule from concept through construction support, coordinating with authorities, surveyors, designers and contractors.

The role emphasizes strategic advisory, digital engineering outcomes and strong client relationships, with an opportunity to grow into a Team Lead role shaping capabilities and pipeline.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of post-graduate civil and site infrastructure design experience.
• Proficient in 12D and AutoCAD; strong knowledge of authority standards.
• Ability to build senior-level client relationships.
• Chartered professional engineer designation or international equivalent preferred.
• Commercial acumen with delivery within tight timeframes and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination and management of utilities on major projects.
• Direct design management, quality, budget and programme from concept to delivery.
• Coordinate interfaces among project teams, authorities, surveyors and contractors.
• Provide strategic advice on risks, approvals pathways and construction staging.
• Drive multidisciplinary design coordination and digital engineering for constructible outcomes.
• Develop client relationships and contribute to business development; mentor junior engineers.
• For strong candidates, assume Team Lead responsibilities and grow the team.
