Job summary

GHD in Gladstone is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer | Project Manager to lead the Roads team, overseeing design and documentation of transport infrastructure from concept to construction. • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) is required.
• 10–15 years' experience in civil/road projects.

• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and RPEQ preferred or in progress.

In this role you will manage the design and documentation of a variety of transport infrastructure projects across the public and private sectors, supporting an extensive regional client portfolio. You will provide leadership, guidance and assistance in the delivery of projects from concept through to construction. You will bring an aptitude for resolving complex site constraints within operational environments, together with experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

What You Will Bring To The Team

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil).
• 10-15 years' experience.
• Experience and motivation for establishing client relationships and supporting winning work.
• Excellent project management skills and ability and willingness to mentor junior engineers.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) & Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) (Preferred or working towards).
• Demonstrated experience in project and design management of small to medium sized planning and design projects for the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and or other state/territory government agencies (Preferred).
• A passion for high-quality design documentation, assessment and analysis of technical data and imparting knowledge, skills, and experience through the provision of professional development in others.
• Knowledge of flood modelling, geotechnical analysis, pavement design and an ability to integrate into transport related projects preferred.
• Strong communication skills both oral and written (including report writing).
• Demonstrated professional judgement and commercial acumen, including identifying, assessing, evaluating, and solving problems to brief and budget.
• The capability to produce concise and accurate reports, technical specifications, design calculations, briefs and mark-ups.
• Experience and a sound understanding of current civil engineering technologies, including design, modelling, and construction.
