Egis on the Sunshine Coast in Australia is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead civil projects across South East Queensland. You will take ownership of the project lifecycle, from feasibility through construction, and guide multidisciplinary teams within a regional APAC structure.

The role targets a Chartered Engineer with deep expertise in land development, water, transport, and civil infrastructure, with strong leadership and client-management abilities.

Qualifications

• 12+ years’ experience in civil engineering consultancy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• CPEng status or ability to obtain.
• RPEQ or willingness to obtain.
• Strong leadership and project management across full life cycle.
• Proven ability to manage large multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical advice through the project lifecycle from feasibility studies, concept and detailed design through to construction administration and certification.
• Lead client engagements including bids, tender management, and related business development across SEQ.
• Manage project budgets, variations, reporting and resourcing.
• Prepare high-quality proposal documentation, fee estimates, methodologies and technical reports.
• Act as technical lead to project teams and mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Review deliverables to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
