Job summary

COMPLETE is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer/Designer in Adelaide with 3-8+ years of transport infrastructure experience to join our Engineering Team. The role delivers design projects for Governments in NSW and QLD, with support from our Adelaide office.

The successful candidate will work with our multidisciplinary team in Sydney, Melbourne and Gold Coast, applying 12D Model and AutoCAD to road, drainage and WSUD projects while maintaining client relationships and contributing to business growth.

Qualifications

• Industry-relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary project environments, especially public infrastructure.
• High to advanced competency with 12D Model & AutoCAD.
• Knowledge/experience in stormwater drainage design and WSUD adds value.
• Knowledge/experience in MUSIC modelling and Stormwater Management Plans is advantageous.
• Proven background on small to large infrastructure design projects.
• Excellent knowledge of Government codes, guidelines and Australian/NZ Standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in preparing detailed design construction documentation including specs and drawings.
• Experience in development projects such as road design, drainage, WSUD, carparks, cycleways and earthworks.
• Experience in preparing project design reports and quantity take-offs for bills of quantities.

Responsibilities

COMPLETE designs community assets and infrastructure for Government. We create functional, inspirational and sustainable design outcomes through our multi-disciplinary approach. We have experienced rapid growth in South Australia and are looking to further expand our newly opened Adelaide office.

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer/Designer with strong 12D skills who is willing to join our Engineering Team.

About the role

The Senior Civil Engineer/Designer, with 3-8+ years relevant experience in transport infrastructure projects, will have a key technical role in the efficient and successful delivery of various design projects, along with maintaining strong client relationships. The purpose of this role is to undertake design projects with assistance from COMPLETE's Engineering team for predominantly Governments in NSW and QLD.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Engineering team, as well as collaborating with Multidisciplinary team members based in Sydney, Melbourne and Gold Coast.

Our ideal candidate would have:

• Industry relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering;
• Experience in a multi-disciplinary project work environment, ideally delivering civil projects in the public domain;
• A high to advanced level of competency with the use of 12D Model & AutoCAD;
• Knowledge/experience in stormwater drainage design and WSUD would be an advantage;
• Knowledge/experience in MUSIC modelling and generation of Stormwater Management Plans would be an advantage;
• Proven background on small to large sized infrastructure design projects;
• Excellent knowledge of Government codes, guidelines and processes and Australian / NZ Standards;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Experience in preparing detailed design construction documentation including project specifications and drawings;

• Experience in preparing construction cost estimates including quantity take-off for preparing bills of quantities.
