Job summary

Sutherland Shire Council is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Infrastructure Planning and Design team. You will lead planning and design of complex civil projects across roads, drainage, stormwater and public domain assets, providing technical leadership and coordinating with design consultants.

You will manage budgets, engage stakeholders, and guide projects from concept to completion, shaping infrastructure solutions for Sydney's vibrant region.

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering.
• Extensive experience in civil infrastructure design, drainage and project delivery.
• Strong technical expertise across civil engineering projects.
• Experience managing consultants, budgets and complex project outcomes.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, Civil Site Design, DRAINS and related engineering software.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and leadership skills.
• Eligibility for Professional Engineer registration.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our Infrastructure Planning and Design team and play a key role in delivering the infrastructure that keeps our community connected, growing and thriving.

In this influential position, you'll lead the planning and design of complex civil infrastructure projects across roads, drainage, stormwater, transport, open space and public domain assets.
