Maitland City Council is seeking a Senior Civil Designer to deliver road and drainage infrastructure projects. You will provide specialist engineering design, technical documentation and design advice for transport and stormwater assets, across a diverse capital works portfolio.

Working across a diverse portfolio of capital works projects, you will assist the planning and design of Council's road and stormwater drainage infrastructure, delivering practical, innovative and cost-effective solutions that support community growth and network resilience. While the role also contributes to cycleways, open spaces and recreation projects, the primary focus is the design, review and delivery of road and drainage infrastructure projects. You will undertake investigations, assess project feasibility, review complex designs and collaborate with internal stakeholders, consultants and external authorities to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with operational, regulatory and community requirements.

To succeed in this role, you will possess tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Design Engineering or a related discipline, together with extensive experience in civil infrastructure design.
You will demonstrate strong technical capability and practical experience in:
You will be highly organised, capable of managing multiple projects and competing priorities, while maintaining a strong focus on quality, customer service and meeting delivery timeframes.
Experience with Civil 3D, Stringer, Benchmark and Microsoft Project will be highly regarded.
This is a full-time, permanent role working a 35-hour week, with a base salary range of $102,017 - $122,269 per year based on demonstrated experience and qualifications + allowances + 12% super.
