Job summary

The Constructive Collective is seeking a senior civil engineer to lead and deliver civil infrastructure projects in the Sydney area. The role focuses on coordinating multi-disciplinary inputs, ensuring council approvals, and maintaining strong client relationships.

You will apply strong technical judgement to Australian Standards, drive design delivery, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence while working across flexible Sydney locations.

Qualifications

• At least 7+ years' design experience within a civil engineering environment, backed by a Civil Engineering degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver civil engineering projects from concept design through to construction.
• Lead and integrate input across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Oversee design documentation, council approvals and authority liaison.
• Apply strong technical judgement against Australian Standards and council requirements.
• Navigate Service Authority approval processes and construction standards.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Prepare clear, high-quality technical reports and correspondence.

• A track record of pulling multi-discipline teams together and getting the best out of them.
• Sound, practical grasp of Australian Standards and council design requirements.
• Familiarity with Service Authority approval processes and construction standards.
• A natural communicator, comfortable producing clear technical reports as well as talking clients and stakeholders through complex issues.

• Confident using AutoCAD, 12D, DRAINS and MUSIC in day-to-day design work.
• A track record of pulling multi-discipline teams together and getting the best out of them.

• Familiarity with Service Authority approval processes and construction standards.
• A natural communicator, comfortable producing clear technical reports as well as talking clients and stakeholders through complex issues.
