Job summary

Scotford Fennessy is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer in NSW to lead project teams, oversee design and delivery, and manage client engagements. The role blends hands-on technical work with project leadership across road, drainage, water quality, and civil infrastructure for varied developments.

You will work on subdivisions, schools, hospitals, aged care, commercial and industrial projects with a strong 80/20 split toward design and hands-on engineering, while benefiting from flexible start times

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with 7+ years experience in civil engineering in the NSW market.
• Experience in design, technical work and project management within consulting.
• Experience across developments, civil works for buildings and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead a project-based team including drafter/designer and junior engineers.
• Remain hands-on in technical design, concept design and client meetings.
• Manage full life cycle of medium to large civil projects, including fee proposals.

Job description

• Run on a project based structure, so as a Senior Civil Engineer, take on a drafter/designer and junior engineers to use as resources on your projects
• Still remain hands on in terms of the technical and engineering work, involvement in concept design, fee proposals, client meetings etc, 80/20 split
• Work with builders and developers, subdivisions, schools, hospitals, aged care, commercial, industrial, mixed use developments, retail etc – pavement, water quality, stormwater, roads, etc
• Repeat clients and established team, approachable partners, plenty of support
• Full life cycle of project responsibility, medium to large scale project scope for experienced seniors
• Flexible start and finish times, WFH, paid parental leave

Senior Civil Engineer
