Job summary

Stantec in Maroochydore is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with project delivery experience to join our Community Development team on a large subdivision project. The role involves administration of civil infrastructure contracts as the client’s representative, coordinating with design teams and authorities, and delivering multidisciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering required.
• Delivery of civil works including subdivisions, roads, stormwater or sewer.

Responsibilities

• Construction contract administration for subdivision projects in line with contract requirements.
• Coordinate with internal design teams to resolve design issues impacting delivery.
• Coordinate with Principal Construction Contractor and sub-contractors to ensure delivery aligns with contracts.
• Prepare technical reports and specifications.
• Evaluate and assess contractor claims and variations.
• Provide technical expertise to clients and support projects.
• Manage projects including scheduling and preparation of budgets.
• Coordinate between disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
• Undertake site inspections and coordinate with authorities for quality and handover requirements.
• Contribute to knowledge development in civil engineering and client relationships.
• Assist in business development and client relationship management.
