Arup is seeking a Senior 12D Roads Designer to lead road alignment design for major highways and local road projects. The role involves producing advanced 3D designs using 12d Model, BIM workflows, CAD and related tools, and coordinating multidisciplinary inputs to meet scope and budget.

You will mentor junior designers, drive design excellence, and support continuous improvement. Flexible relocation to Brisbane is encouraged as part of Arup's design team expansion.

Formación

• Extensive experience in road alignment design with knowledge of Austroads, TMR, and Australian Standards.
• Advanced proficiency with 12d Model and BIM workflows; proficient with CAD, Bluebeam and ProjectWise.
• Ability to lead complex multidisciplinary projects with coordination, reviews and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; experience mentoring team members.
• Relevant tertiary qualification and commitment to ongoing professional development.

The Opportunity

• Lead road alignment design for major urban and rural highways, as well as local road and infrastructure projects
• Prepare and oversee high-quality 3D designs, technical drawings, and documentation using 12d Model and associated tools
• Manage alignment design delivery, ensuring outputs are completed within project timeframes, scope, and budget
• Develop and implement innovative technical solutions, coordinating multidisciplinary design inputs and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and guidelines
• Mentor and support junior designers through delegation, review, and feedback while contributing to team capability development

Is this role right for you?
