Job summary

AECOM is seeking a skilled drafting and design professional to contribute to large civil infrastructure projects, including utilities coordination, drainage, earthworks and roads design. The role supports Defence-related capabilities in Australia, with portions of work delivered in collaboration with local and international teams.

You will develop designs independently, mentor junior colleagues in the Adelaide team, and operate with safety and innovation at the forefront, while enjoying flexible

Qualifications

• Proven experience (ideally 5-10 years) in a similar role, ideally within a consultancy environment.
• Demonstrable knowledge and capability in AutoCAD and 12D or Civil 3D software packages.
• Proven experience delivering design and drafting for large civil infrastructure projects in utilities coordination, drainage, earthworks and roads design.
• Able to develop designs independently, ensuring innovation and safety are prioritised.
• Australian citizenship is required as Defence clearance is necessary; an Associate Degree or Advanced Diploma in Engineering Design is preferred.

• Contribute to projects that improve Defence capabilities, ensuring solutions are future-ready and adaptable to evolving strategic needs.
• Mentor/lead juniors in the drafting and design team and wider Adelaide team.
