Job summary

Council is seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to investigate and design civil infrastructure. You will prepare estimates and design reports, and manage external consultants while providing engineering guidance across departments.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in scoping, planning, investigating, designing and estimating civil projects.
• Knowledge of engineering design standards, guidelines and practices.
• Analytical thinking, problem solving and creativity for complex challenges.
• Surveying with modern instruments and GPS technologies.

• Undertake investigations and design of civil infrastructure.
• Prepare estimates and design reports for various departments.
• Provide engineering advice and services to council and manage external consultants.
• Contribute to multiple projects to defined timelines.
