Job summary

Victoria Department is recruiting for Senior Child Protection Practitioner in the Wimmera South West area. You will supervise team members, collaborate to strengthen case practice, and support others in developing plans to promote safety and wellbeing of children and young people.

The role requires a driver’s license, willingness to travel, and potential overtime to ensure child wellbeing. A 5-week induction program and regional benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' work experience in child protection and/or child, youth and family welfare.
• Preferred qualifications include a social work, welfare, psychology related qualification.
• Hold or obtain a Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist others to reflect on interpersonal interactions and enhance relationships.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with the team and stakeholders.
• Develop and coach others in risk assessment and analysis.
• Lead planning, review and management of issues in line with best practice and legislative requirements.
