Job summary

Department of Families, Fairness & Housing in Victoria seeks Senior Child Protection Practitioners to relocate to Victoria and join a statewide workforce with multiple office options.

You will work under the Team Manager to strengthen case practice, supervise staff, and manage complex child protection cases, with travel and some on-call requirements. Applicants must have qualifications in social work, welfare, or psychology, and a current driver's license.

Qualifications

• Social work/welfare/psychology qualification or relevant experience.
• Strong sense of social justice and client-centered approach.
• Ability to support and coach others in risk assessment and planning.

Responsibilities

• Reflect on interpersonal interactions and encourage self-reflection to enhance relationships.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with the team and stakeholders.
• Develop and coach others in risk assessment and analysis.
• Provide case planning advice and support for high-risk cases.
