Job summary

KBR in Australia seeks a senior Lead CFD/Wind Engineer to drive technical excellence across Buildings/Defence, Water and Transport sectors. You will mentor engineers, lead a national team, and develop new client opportunities while leveraging our cloud HPC and advanced tools.

You will engage with clients, promote innovation, and contribute to thought leadership through papers and conferences. A Defence clearance or ability to obtain is required.

Qualifications

• Consulting experience across multi-sector projects.
• Proven ability to lead an engineering team.
• Strong business development and client engagement.
• Experience in national engineering leadership roles.
• Expertise in physical and computational modelling.
• Experience with gas and liquid systems and multiphase flows.
• Proficiency in OpenFOAM, FastEDDY, ANSYS.
• Experience with cloud-based HPC environments.
• Strong coding and scripting to support modelling workflows.
• Defence clearance held or able to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high performing CFD/Wind engineering team across sectors.
• Collaborate with clients to identify growth opportunities.
• Mentor junior engineers and develop team capabilities.
