Job summary

Management and Training Corporation Pty Ltd in Australia is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead day-to-day Centre operations, ensuring safe, secure and effective service delivery across the facility.

You will coach multidisciplinary teams, drive compliance, manage risk, plan rosters, monitor welfare systems, and build strong relationships with government bodies and service providers while reporting to the Centre Manager.

Qualifications

• Senior operational leadership experience in complex or regulated environments.
• Strong commercial and operational acumen.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Experience with government-contracted or regulated services is highly regarded.
• Trauma-informed practice and cultural awareness experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day Centre operations, ensuring safe, secure and effective service delivery.
• Provide leadership, coaching and support to multidisciplinary operational teams.
• Drive compliance with contractual, legislative and organisational requirements.
• Manage operational risk, incident response and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee workforce planning, rostering and capability development to maintain operational readiness.
• Monitor detainee welfare systems and promote trauma-informed, culturally responsive practices.
• Develop strong relationships with government representatives, service providers and key stakeholders.
• Prepare operational reports and represent the Centre during audits, inspections and stakeholder meetings.
