Job summary

Centennial Fassifern Pty. Limited is seeking a commercially driven Category Manager to join its Strategic Sourcing team in Fassafern NSW. You will own major spend portfolios across Services & Consumables and Overhauls & MRO, working with operational and corporate leaders to improve value and supplier performance across Centennial's underground mining operations.

This is not transactional procurement. You will shape category strategy, lead meaningful negotiations, and deliver cost reductions

Qualifications

• Experience leading category strategies across large spend portfolios.
• Proven track record in complex, high-value sourcing from strategy to implementation.
• Experience in mining, heavy industry, infrastructure or mining equipment.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to balance value with safety, operational and supply-risk needs.
• Practical, accountable mindset with constructive challenge.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver category strategies across substantial spend portfolios.
• Lead complex tenders, negotiations, supplier selection and contract outcomes.
• Analyse spend, demand, supplier economics and cost drivers to identify value opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with operational stakeholders and strategic suppliers.
• Deliver sustainable cost reductions, cost avoidance and commercial risk improvements.
• Help shape a growing Strategic Sourcing function, including its tools, governance and ways of working.
