Job summary

BaptistCare NSW/ACT - Aged Care is seeking a Principal Category Manager to provide strategic leadership of our national category management function. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will translate business priorities into category strategies, sourcing programs and measurable value across technology, property, services and clinical expenditure.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in procurement, supply chain, business, commerce, finance or related discipline, or significant relevant industry experience.
• Professional procurement qualification such as CIPS or equivalent.
• Seven+ years' category management or procurement experience in large/complex organisations.
• Experience leading category management teams and building capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mature BaptistCare's category management function nationally.
• Set direction for category strategies, sourcing programs and supplier performance.
• Lead complex sourcing, negotiation and contracting initiatives and govern supplier performance.
• Collaborate with executive leaders and travel interstate as required.
