Job summary

Gallagher in Sydney seeks an experienced Senior Case Manager to lead and grow our injury rehabilitation program. You will manage a diverse caseload, engage with employers, employees and health professionals, and drive optimal return-to-work outcomes.

As part of a collaborative team, you will mentor others, balance competing priorities, and contribute to a supportive, flexible, and health-focused work environment with hybrid arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience in case management within a Workers Compensation setting.
• Customer-focused approach with ability to build trust and rapport.
• Team player with mentoring and collaboration skills.
• Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
• Strong communication skills across all levels of an organisation.
• Tertiary qualifications in Allied Health desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Advising and providing case management support across a 40-claim portfolio at various stages of return to work.
• Engaging with insured employers, injured employees, rehab professionals, medical practitioners and legal providers to optimise outcomes.
• Supporting physical and psychological needs through dedicated mental health, rehab, and technical hubs.
• Leading end-to-end claims management and contributing to return-to-work success.
• Coaching and mentoring other case managers and collaborating with health hubs.

How you'll make an impact

• Advising and providing case management support across a range of rehabilitation cases (around 40 claim portfolio) at various stages of their return to work journey
• Engaging with insured employers, injured employees, rehabilitation professionals, medical practitioners and legal providers in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for all parties
• Supporting the physical and psychological needs of our injured workers through the provision of services within our additional mental health, technical and rehabilitation support hubs
• Contributing to excellent return to work outcomes and lead the end-to-end claims management life cycle
• Coaching and mentoring case managers and collaborating with our additional Mental Health, Recovery and RTW, and Technical support hubs

About you

• You’ll have previous experience in case management within a Workers Compensation setting.
• A customer focused approach with the ability to build trust and rapport and can demonstrate a true passion to help people.
• A team player who enjoys collaboration with the ability to coach and mentor others.
• Exceptional time management and organisational skills;
• Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of organisation;
• Tertiary qualifications or experience in Allied Health or qualifications in injury rehabilitation desirable would be highly regarded, but not mandatory
