Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking experienced Senior Case Managers in Australia to support rehabilitation and return-to-work initiatives. You will handle a portfolio of claims, collaborate with employers, injured workers, and healthcare professionals, and help drive outcomes across our service model.

The role emphasizes mentoring peers, managing time effectively, and delivering compassionate, evidence-based care within a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Advise and provide case management across rehabilitation cases (~40 claims).
• Engage with insured employers, injured employees, rehabilitation professionals, medical practitioners and legal providers to achieve best outcomes.
• Support physical and psychological needs of injured workers via mental health, recovery and RTW hubs.
• Contribute to excellent return-to-work outcomes and lead end-to-end claims lifecycle.
• Coach and mentor other case managers and collaborate with mental health and technical support hubs.

How you'll make an impact

• Advising and providing case management support across a range of rehabilitation cases (around 40 claim portfolio) at various stages of their return to work journey;
• Engaging with insured employers, injured employees, rehabilitation professionals, medical practitioners and legal providers in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for all parties;
• Supporting the physical and psychological needs of our injured workers through the provision of services within our additional mental health, technical and rehabilitation support hubs;
• Contributing to excellent return to work outcomes and lead the end-to-end claims management life cycle;
• Coaching and mentoring case managers and collaborating with our additional Mental Health, Recovery and RTW, and Technical support hubs.

About you

• You’ll have previous experience in case management within a Workers Compensation setting.
• A customer focused approach with the ability to build trust and rapport and can demonstrate a true passion to help people.
• A team player who enjoys collaboration with the ability to coach and mentor others.
• Exceptional time management and organisational skills;
• Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of organisation;
• Tertiary qualifications or experience in Allied Health or qualifications in injury rehabilitation desirable
• would be highly regarded, but not mandatory
