Job summary

Calvary Health Care in Adelaide seeks a Senior Care Manager to lead the team of care managers delivering person‑centred, re‑ablement focused services within a defined budget. You will proactively manage referrals and leads in line with policy and practice, ensuring quality outcomes for clients and families.

You bring a tertiary qualification in aged/community care or related fields, a driving licence with insured vehicle, and strong leadership with a lean, risk‑aware mindset.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Community, Aged Care, Psychology, Counselling or Mental Health.
• Full driver’s licence and insured vehicle, essential.
• Experience in the Aged/Community sector.
• Demonstrated people leadership and management skills.
• Knowledge of the scope of practice of a Care Manager and Intake in the community setting.
• Strong background in lean principles, quality, safety and risk.
• Experience working with clients and families to deliver best‑practice, flexible services.
• Budgeting, funding reporting and growth targets understanding.
• Proficiency with databases, MS Office and CRMs; easy to learn new systems.
• Willingness to obtain/hold a current Police check.

Overview

The Senior Care Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the team of care managers in the provision of person‑centred and re‑ablement focused service delivery within a budget framework. The role requires being proactive in managing and prioritising package referrals and leads in accordance with policy and defined practices.

What You Bring

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Community, Aged Care, Psychology, Counselling or Mental Health
• Full driver’s licence and an insured vehicle, essential
• Experience in the Aged/Community sector
• Demonstrated people leadership and management skills
• Knowledge of the scope of practice of a Care Manager and Intake in the community setting
• Strong background in lean principles, quality, safety and risk
• Experience working in a customer care environment, working with clients and families to provide best‑practice and flexible, outcome‑focused service delivery
• Experience identifying new sources of business and converting these to clients in consultation with relevant stakeholders
• Knowledge and understanding of reporting requirements, identifying risks and monitoring and managing client funding, annual budgets and growth targets
• Proficiency with software packages including databases, MS Office, and CRMs, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems
• Commitment to Calvary’s philosophy of providing responsive, flexible and customer‑focused services
• A valid/current Police check within the last 6 months or willingness to obtain one
