About the Role
SAHMRI is seeking a Senior Capacity Building Coordinator to lead and deliver capacity-building initiatives through CHiAPRT. This part-time, 12-month contract role will support programs that strengthen research-policy translation, build partnerships and increase the impact and profile of the Centre’s work. Working closely with the Director of CHiAPRT, the Advisory Committee, CHiAPRT partners and key internal and external stakeholders, you will coordinate training, workshops, resources and collaborative activities aligned with the Centre’s strategic priorities.
You will work with stakeholders across South Australian and Australian public sectors, including SA Health and Preventive Health SA; universities such as Flinders University, Adelaide University and the University of Canberra; non-government organisations such as SACOSS; international organisations including the World Health Organization; CHiAPRT partners; research institutes; industry collaborators; and community representatives.
This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that supports research translation, partnership development and improved health equity outcomes.
If you meet most, but not all, of the criteria and are passionate about health equity, capacity building and research translation, we encourage you to apply.
As a not-for-profit organisation, SAHMRI employees can access salary packaging options up to $15,900. Salary packaging lets you pay for everyday living expenses with money from your salary before tax, which may reduce your taxable income and increase your take-home pay.
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to high-impact work that supports evidence-informed policy and better health, wellbeing and equity outcomes.
To be considered for this position, applicants must hold relevant working rights within Australia at the time of application.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply
