Job summary

AECOM in Brisbane is seeking a senior CAD Draftsperson to deliver highways design across major transport projects. You will produce detailed CAD drawings and models, ensuring compliance with RPDM, Austroads and client standards.

The role requires a strong background in civil infrastructure and the ability to work within our SE Queensland team. You will contribute to design documentation, collaborate across disciplines and help meet delivery timelines while enjoying flexible work arrangements and

• 7+ years of highways design experience, SE Queensland preferred.

Job Description

Our Brisbane highways team is in a strong position, delivering major transport projects locally while continuing to secure new work nationally. There’s real momentum, a healthy forward pipeline and the support of a broader ANZ technical network so you’ll have consistent project exposure and the backing to do your best work.

How you’ll make a difference

• Deliver highways design across transport infrastructure projects, including civil arrangements, geometric design for roads, cycleways and footpaths, signage, public utility plant (PUP) and safety barriers.
• Produce high-quality drawings and models in accordance with RPDM, Austroads and client standards.
• Prepare design documentation and ensure all deliverables meet project specifications, quality standards and delivery timeframes.

Qualifications

The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role.

The qualities that help you thrive

• An Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• 7+ years of experience in highways design, ideally within TMR and/or major infrastructure projects. You’re an experienced CAD Draftsperson based in South East Queensland (SEQ), looking to contribute to some of the region’s most iconic highway and civil infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience producing high-quality CAD drawings and design documentation to support project delivery.
• Experience with design tools such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, Civil 3D, InfraWorks, Navisworks or Revizto is desirable.
