Job summary

Designer Joinery in Condell Park, NSW seeks an experienced Cabinet Vision Draftsperson to take projects from preliminary shop drawings through nesting and production. The role offers full-time hybrid work with some remote days, focusing on accuracy, timely delivery, and collaboration with project managers and design/production teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience and advanced proficiency in Cabinet Vision is essential.
• Strong joinery design skills and experience preparing detailed shop drawings.
• Proven experience in nesting and preparing jobs for CNC manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of joinery construction, materials, hardware and installation requirements.
• Ability to work independently, manage workloads and consistently meet production deadlines.
• Previous experience in the Australian joinery or cabinetmaking industry is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Follow the production schedule, ensuring all daily drawing deadlines are consistently met.
• Prepare accurate preliminary and final shop drawings using Cabinet Vision.
• Interpret architectural plans, design specifications and site measurements.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, cutting lists and material take-offs.
• Nest jobs and prepare CNC files ready for manufacturing and production.
• Liaise with project managers, designers and the production team to resolve design and manufacturing issues.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
