Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an experienced Senior Buyer to join our Sydney team. This is a hands-on, strategic procurement role covering sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiations, cost optimisation and governance across a diverse project portfolio.

You will work with local and international suppliers to ensure delivery on time, within budget and to high quality standards. Strong negotiation and stakeholder management are essential to succeed in this role.

About the Opportunity

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join our Sydney team.

This is a hands-on, strategic procurement role where you'll be responsible for sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiations, cost optimisation, and procurement governance across a diverse portfolio of projects and service operations.

Working with both local and international suppliers, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our teams have access to the right products, services, and subcontractors to successfully deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

About the role:

• Sets operational objectives and delivers results that have a direct to significant impact on achievement of results with the job area or within the context of a wider operational area.

• Regularly Correct or resolve issues or problems in existing systems and processes. Makes necessary changes. Often Adapts or enhances quality or value in existing methods; make better as part of day-to-day activities.
• Issue and manage RFQ process in line with JCI and its customer's requirements, and identify, recommend best source consistent with cost, quality and delivery requirements.
• Review and evaluate RFQ responses for compliance with JCI requirements.
• Negotiate and manage long term pricing agreements on critical Security System, HVAC, Refrigeration, BMS subcontract works,
• Proactively engage with business to identify their needs.
• Complete purchase requests with local and international suppliers expediting deliveries and verifying.
• Act as a liaison between suppliers and involved departments to resolve procurement related issues.
