Job summary

Equity Mates Media is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager for a 13-month parental leave contract. You will manage key commercial relationships, secure new brand partners and deliver high-impact content campaigns with autonomy and accountability.

You’ll collaborate with the Head of Partnerships and our Content and Production teams to ensure campaigns run smoothly, engage audiences, and align with our mission to make finance more accessible.

Responsibilities

• Identify, pitch and convert new commercial partnership opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients and sponsors.
• Lead the negotiation and execution of commercial deals including sponsorships and branded content.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless end-to-end campaign delivery.
• Stay across market trends, competitive activity and emerging brand opportunities.
• Provide regular reporting on sales pipeline, campaign outcomes and partner ROI.
• Represent Equity Mates at industry events and networking opportunities.
• Contribute to co-branded campaign development and content ideation in collaboration with marketing and content teams.

As a Senior Business Development Manager (13-month parental leave contract), you’ll be responsible for managing key commercial relationships, securing new brand partners, and delivering high-impact content campaigns.

You’ll work alongside our Head of Partnerships and collaborate closely with our Content and Production teams to ensure campaign delivery is smooth, engaging and aligned with our audience.

• Creative and strategic thinker, with a sharp eye for commercial opportunities.
• Highly motivated, target-driven and comfortable working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
• A passion for financial literacy, investing, or the podcast/media space is a big plus.
• Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders including brand managers, agency leads and business owners.
