Job summary

LGT Wealth Management in Melbourne is expanding its Delivery function and seeks Senior Business Analysts to support strategic change and mandatory initiatives. These 12-month fixed-term contracts focus on backlog management, solution shaping, and high-quality releases across platforms.

You will own requirements, write sprint-ready user stories with acceptance criteria, and mentor a team of analysts while collaborating with stakeholders and technology teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years as a Business Analyst in Wealth Management or Financial Services Organisations.
• Proven ability to work within a team structure, leading others to excel.
• Strong exposure to Wealth Advisory/Private Banking platforms; Avaloq is highly desirable.
• Experience in process mapping, user story development, and Agile frameworks.
• Regulatory or compliance project experience in Financial Services.
• Understanding of SDLC and change methodologies is a plus.
• Degree qualified

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to clarify requirements, prioritise initiatives across streams.
• Gather and document business requirements and translate into sprint-ready user stories.
• Create and walkthrough user stories with business and tech teams.
• Support analysts, developers and testers through sprint cycles to deliver value.
• Lead change management of processes when deploying initiatives.
• Lead a small team of Business Analysts within Delivery.
• Mentor and develop analysts to grow capabilities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the Delivery framework.
• Assist Project Manager with sequencing and estimation.
• Contribute to definition and design with tech resources.
• Distribute work and elaborate stories with other analysts.
• Interface between development, testers and stakeholders during execution.
• Help test team define plans and test cases across functions.
• Ensure traceability from requirements to test cases and outcomes.
• Prepare stakeholder communications, demos and training.
