Job summary

Jensen Hughes is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to support its Code and Building Compliance team across Australia and New Zealand. You will oversee projects from large commercial facilities to airports and schools, developing your career in a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment with potential leadership progression.

You will assess designs against NCC/BCA, liaise with clients for compliance reports, and contribute to improving fire safety measures while mentoring junior surveyors and

Qualifications

• Post-graduate qualification in Building Surveying or a similar stream with relevant industry experience.
• Current registration as a Level 1 or Level 2 building surveyor.

Responsibilities

• Assess building designs against the provisions of the National Construction Code / Building Code of Australia for a range of building classifications.
• Liaise with clients and prepare National Construction Code / Building Code of Australia compliance reports.
• Collaborate with clients to help upgrade their fire safety measures.
• Conduct site visits to view progression and completion of large projects.
• Prepare “Performance Solution” design reports for non‑fire performance solutions.
• Opportunity to lead a team and help develop junior building surveyors.
• An enthusiasm and aptitude for business development is highly regarded.
